How to access audit logs
There are three ways to access audit log data, depending on whether you prefer a UI or programmatic access.
1. Via Settings (UI)
- Open the Nila Web App.
Go to Settings → Audit from the left sidebar.
This view shows all edition-level activity, including member additions, role changes, and deletions, all in one place.
2. Via API: View Entries
Use the audit/get endpoint to fetch audit log entries programmatically. This is useful for integrating audit data into your own dashboards or internal tooling.
3. Via API: Export Entries
Use the audit/export endpoint to download the complete audit log as an auditlogs.json file. This is ideal for archiving, compliance reporting, or sharing logs with stakeholders outside Nila.
A note on permissions
Audit log access is restricted to Super Admins to protect member privacy and maintain data integrity. If you need access, contact your edition owner about updating your role.
