Zoho, including its group entities listed here ("we", "our", or "us") is the provider of Nila.

This Privacy Notice explains:

  • What personal information is collected;
  • How we use that information;
  • Who do we share the information with; and
  • Your rights with respect to such information.

What personal information do we collect

We only collect your email address when you subscribe to our email subscription form available in our webpages nila.cloud or nila.design.

What do we do with your information

We use your email address for the following purposes :

  • In order to provide you with an early access to the beta version of Nila, and
  • To send periodic updates about the release of Nila

Your choice in information use

You can opt out of receiving newsletters and updates from us by using "unsubscribe" function included in our emails.

Who we share your information with

Depending on the region you are from, one or more group entities of Zoho will have access to the personal information. We do not sell your personal information. We share your personal information in the ways described in this Privacy Notice, and only with parties who adopt appropriate confidentiality and security measures. We do not share your personal information with any third parties. Zoho's employees and independent contractors will have access to the information on a need-to-know basis.

For how long do we retain your information

We retain your personal information so long as it is required for the purposes stated in this Privacy Notice. Sometimes we may retain your information for longer periods as permitted or required by law such as to maintain suppression lists or to comply with our legal obligations. When we no longer have a legitimate need to process your information, we will delete or anonymize your information.

Legal bases for collecting and using information

If you are an individual from the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, most of our information collection and processing activities are based on (i) contractual necessity, or (ii) one or more legitimate interests of Zoho that are not overridden by your data protection interests. We rely on your consent (as and when required by the applicable laws) as our legal basis for sending you emails regarding (i) periodic updates about the release of Nila and (ii) early access to the beta version of Nila.

Legitimate interests notice

Where we rely on legitimate interests as the legal basis and those legitimate interests are not specified above, we will clearly explain to you what those legitimate interests are at the time that we process your information.

International transfers

Depending on the region you are from, we may share your personal information with one or more group entities of Zoho. By subscribing to emails from Zoho regarding Nila, you consent to the processing, transfer, and storage of your personal information within those countries where Zoho operates. Such transfer is subject to a group company agreement that is based on EU Commission's Model Contractual Clauses.

Your rights with respect to information that we hold

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, you have the following rights with respect to the information that we hold.

  • Right to access your personal information
  • Right to update the information that we hold about you or rectify any inaccuracies.
  • Right to request for data deletion
  • Right to restriction of processing
  • Right to data portability
  • Right to object
  • Right to complain to the appropriate supervisory authority.

Zoho undertakes to provide you the same rights no matter where you choose to live.

Your rights under CCPA

CCPA provides you five rights, of which two are covered as part of the rights listed above. These two are: right to access of personal information and right to request deletion of personal information. The third is the right to opt-out of sale, which is redundant since we promise not to sell or monetize your data in any way. The fourth right available to you under CCPA is the right against discrimination because you exercised the rights available to you and the fifth is the right to protection against waiver of rights.

You can exercise the rights described above, by sending an email to privacy@nila.cloud. Only you, or an agent authorized to make a request on your behalf may make a request related to your personal information.
